Description
At the Mountains of Madness Volume 1
Arkham, 1933. Professor Dyer, a famous geologist, learns that a scientific expedition will soon set off for Antarctica, repeating his own journey of 1931
Hoping to dissuade them from this attempt, Dyer decides to write a full account of the tragic events he has managed to survive. This time he will not omit the passages that he has kept silent since his return, fearing that he will be considered crazy
Two years earlier, ships chartered Miskatonic University, landed on the frozen continent at the beginning of the Antarctic summer, and a group of four professors and sixteen students immediately set to work. The expedition's biologist, Professor Lake, set out with several team members in search of promising fossil traces. A few days later, he reported on the radio about the discovery of amazing specimens of unknown ancient species, and then, after a terrible storm, communication completely stopped. Realizing the worst, Dyer set out to help them the next day.
What he found surpassed his wildest dreams...
At the Mountains of Madness Volume 2
Relive the final days of Dyer's expedition in the remote Antarctic wastelands
Letters from the expedition leader Professor William Dyer become increasingly desperate as the expedition moves forward, leaving common sense behind. What they find under the ice is not meant for human eyes: Cyclopean structures and foreign landscapes, that challenge history itself
Final act of Dyer's expeditions are an immersion in cosmic horror and complete madness
